Maiocco confirmed that the 49ers will be making a change for the 2009 season.  Unfortunately there aren't too many details available.  Apparently the new design will be on display at the 49ers draft day event on April 25.

If I was a betting man I'd guess the changes will be relatively subtle, with bigger changes set for 2010.  I've been wrong numerous times before, but just consider it a hunch.
