Best Performance by a QB EVER!
What is the best performace, you have ever seen, in a pro NFL game by a Quarterback?
any Quarterback?
For me? ..that would be a monday night game, between the Chief's and Bronco's, Elway and Montana, were both unstoppable, it was the most thrilling game, I have ever watched!
All though Montana's last minute superbowl TD Drive with seconds left was awesome, and you know.. Santanio Holmes, made Rothlisberger look pretty good too..
What's your favorite QB performance?

Favre against the Raiders
After his dad died, Favre torched the Raiders on Monday Night. I was actually at that game, which probably adds to it for me.
It’d be easy to throw out performances by 49ers QBs, but I thought I’d go a little outside the box (even though I’m not a big Favre fan).
cool..
..thats what this thread is about!

that was on NFL replay instant classics like a week ago
The NFL Network is great. It was kinda nice to get to watch that game again.
Though the second time around, I have to say, I wasn’t nearly as impressed with Favre’s performance. It was typical Brett Favre stuff – dropping back and throwing the kind of 50 yard bomb that makes you wonder “how in the hell was that a completed pass?” Though that’s always been sort the theme of his career…take your chances and sometimes you get lucky.
Perhaps not *the* greatest...
but one of my favorites was Jeff Garcia’s comeback victory against the Giants in the Wild Card playoffs a couple years ago. I very nearly turned off the TV and gave up on the game early on, because I was so pissed off at the team’s performance. Garcia, however, showed no such loss of composure. Drive after drive, he kept picking away at the defense – a dump off here, a perfectly-timed slant there, a couple post patterns sprinkled in. In a situation where it would be very easy go give up and feel sorry for yourself, he just kept playing. And damn, did he play well.
After a few scores, you could really start to see the offense feed off of his drive. That was the biggest swing of momentum I’ve ever seen. The 49ers sideline went from down and devastated to driven and confident…in my opinion, all because of Garcia.
That game was great!

It’s so hard to determine greatest QB performance. If the QB shredded the defense than the good game is attributed to bad defense. If the QB strung together a late rally than he didn’t play well earlier in the game. Even Marino’s performance against the Bears ‘85 defense is considered great, but there were a ton a goofy plays that went Miami’s way.
HATE THE RAIDERS BUT...
On Nov. 11, 2002 Rich Ganon threw 34-38, 352 yards 3 Touchdowns 0 INT’s.. Not to mention his NFL record of 21 consecutive completions.
Heck ya!
It’s hard to complete 21 passes in a row, just playing catch, what an amazing stat!

Best performance ever
Michael Vick at the frozen Tundra at Lambeau IN THE PLAYOFFS being the first qb to lead a team to victory in below zero weather against BRETT in GB
Jim McMahon!
Doesn’t matter what game. Steve Young said his best game ever was inspired by Jim McMahon’s greatest game!
"He called the sh** POOP!" -- Adam Sandler
I’m fairly certain they were all the best game. The answer remains… Jim McMahon!
Steve Young agrees.

Vinny Testaverde against the dolphins on monday night and peyton manning against the bucs also on monday night, great comebacks, lots of people went to bed on both games before the end, and ended up missing out on two awesome games.
Vinny Monday Night
I was at the game rooting for the Jets… I was so angry, I left after the third quarter… Like so many others.
When I was 10 minutes away from home, I turned on the radio, just in time for the start of overtime…
I’ve never left any sporting event early again… I still have nightmares about that act of stupidity on my part…
Blind devotion.

another good one was from the game where nobody thought they would come back to beat the houston oilers, but frank reich and the buffalo bills pulled out an awesome performance in the second half.

Young, Super Bowl XXIX
6 TD’s, top passer and rusher in the game. Plus it was a 49er Super Bowl win. How does this performance not even get mentioned?
Don't sweat it. I'm illiterate.
I think..
..it was such a one sided game, and the team had been so dominant to that point, that people, forget that it was such great performance?
Maybe they are all trying to forget Neon, wore red and Gold and has a ring because of it?

I also think I remember...
That everyone was betting on which 49er would score the first TD? …as if they had already won?

Too obvious...
…just took someone to say it. Really, you can say any of the 49ers superbowl QB perfomances. Ofcourse, I think we all have a little bias on that..
I was actually going to mention that game...
but then I remembered that the Chargers had no business playing in that year’s superbowl.
They started carving the “SF” logo into the superbowl rings shortly after kickoff.
