Why 2010? because the future is now

My prediction for 2009 is that we'll end up on the outside looking in again this season. Alex Smith will be handed the starting job for doing everything right in practice and have an edge in the playbook memorization dept. The St. Loius Rams will end up with the NFC West title(Assuming Kurt Warner retires, if not Cardinals will win the division for the second straight year). New England Patriots vs. Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl, Patriot's win 38-21...

Season notes

Singletary will blow around 2 games himself with spotty clock management

Frank Gore rush for 1,500+ yards

Alex Smith 1,000+ yards 3 TD 5 INT(PUP List), Shaun Hill 2,500+ yards 16 TD 9 INT

Defense gets around 35 sacks, pass rush makes significant strides

Secondary (Goldson Era) Begins to make a name for themselves with Physical play, coverage still an issue but shows little improvement from 2008

Offensive Line progresses

8-8 Record

-------

Now here comes the 2010 offseason, here are the Notables

QB Jake Delhomme, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Philup Rivers

RB Willie Parker, Pierre Thomas, LenDale White, Chester Taylor

WR Brandon Marshall, Lee Evans, Greg Jennings, Tory Holt

TE Dallas Clark, Heath Miller, Tony Scheffler, Alge Crumpler

OL Willie Roaf, Winston Justice, Chad Clifton, Nick Kaczur

DL Casey Hampton, Luis Castillo, Vince Wilfork, Derrick Burgess

LB James Harrison, Shawn Merriman, Keith Bulluck, Kirk Morrison

DB Terrence Newman, Nick Collins, Nick Harper, Adrian Wilson

According to http://www.kffl.com/static/nfl/features/freeagents/fa.php?option=QB&y=2010 (A bit iffy when I saw Larry Fitz as a FA for 2010, when he signed a 4 year deal this year)

Next year Isaac Bruce(if not retired from this year) and Arnaz Battle will probably be gone, which sort of ruins the depth we had at WR. With no glaring holes in our offense or defense we decide to select the best player on the board with our 15th overall pick.

2010 Mock 1st day only

1. Dez Bryant, WR, Better then Crabtree.. Possibly the next Larry Fitzgerald in terms of going up to get the ball

2. Tim Tebow, QB/RB/TE, When Singletary meets Tebow at the combine it becomes a  match made in heaven. Though Tebow in opinion will be a bust.

3. Javier Arenas, CB, Drops this far due to being 5'9 and his maturity level
