Fooch, a thought?
We are 1 month away from the draft, and I know that ALL of us here at NinerNation are looking forward to it. I don't really know what the majority of the members here are doing that day, my question, to you Fooch, is the possibility of having a NinerNation draft party!!! I think that would be awesome to have, but like I said I don't know the real possibilty since the fanbase is kinda broad in terms of mileage. I just wanted to throw this out to you, and of course I'm curious as to what the NinerNation thinks of it.......
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

i think fooch
can post something where on draft day we can all go and talk about what we picked and it should be just like a gameday thread so if we pick somebody we dont like we can curse the heck out of it hahaha! idk thats my 2cents
Draft Party
I’m definitely intrigued by the idea. I’m definitely open for ideas on this. How many people would be interested in something like this?
would it be something along the lines of a game day thread
or are you talking about an actual meet-up party?
Simply by pulling on both ends, Patrick Willis can stretch diamonds back into coal
But we could wear party hats and stuff!
Those harbinger make me smile more than the fracture of Manny on the teammate.
Get important hitting.
lol
nice pic. seriously though there used to be a Niners Nation Sports Bar thread and there were talks of meeting up during games last year.

Sports Bar Thread
It’s still around, although the comments are temporarily closed on it. If you look on the left column of the front page, down just above the All-Time team, you’ll see a link for it. We’ll definitely open up the comments again for people to discuss possible meet-ups.

gameday thread/chat-room
make a live chatroom and we can all go in there and talk about who we drafted and how many beers we have consumed haha
an actual place to meet?
that would be nice… but where?
Check my 49ers blogs at Mining the Gold Rush and San Francisco 49ers Examiner
Recommend
That you pick 3/4 sports bar and vote on it. Hope they do one during the season in VEGAS!!!!!

i think
there are ways to have a live chatroom on here like a link to a chatroom. i see it all the time on myspace. But i personally dont know how to do it
chats
First I actually think he meant meeting at a place (thus the mention of mileage).
However, no matter what we do outside of here, we’ll have a live draft thread (probably several actually over the course of two days). For those who’ve never been here for a live thread, comments automatically update without having to refresh the thread so it’s practically a live chat. It’s one of the best additions they made a year ago when they upgraded the blogging platforms.
So basically, people will be able to come in here and chat the entire day in real time. Anybody who’s been around game threads will know what I’m talking about.

cool
yea i dont really go on live chats for games (so i didnt know about NN live gamethreads) cuz i like to actually watch the full live game and not have the distraction of typing. but for the draft im all for it. B.Y.O.B!. p.s. yea i actually thought he meant going to a meet up at a place too cuz he put “mileage” but i think thats weird seeing as i think we all live in different parts of the U.S.

sounds fantastic
It was "mascot night" at the Rose Garden, which apparently translates to a dozen inflatable versions of various NBA mascots being chased around the arena by Portland's "Blaze", which is some breed of rapist dog. -PostingandToasting

if we're talking about actually meeting up
I would have to pass – I have a tradition of getting together with some buddies to drink and watch the draft. Sometimes that also means participating in the open thread while inebriated, which is quite a show.
Still defending Rich Aurilia, and the Niners' classic unis
Why?
Why does it have to be one or the other? Most bars have wifi, and most people have cell phones that can get online. I’m in Sacamento and wouldn’t mind meeting up with other’s in the area and hitting up a bar so we can scream at the screen when the Lions pick Crabtree #1. LOL. Hit me up at sean.huddleston@yahoo.com if anyone is interested.
I wish there was any kind of bar here
not to even mention a sports bar! It is illegal to buy or sell alcohol in this part of Alaska, so we have to order it, and they fly it in. At least it is not like most villages here, where it is illegal to possess. But I would be all for meeting somewhere if I lived in California. Maybe I could start a 49ers “Social Club…”
Alaska is a state, dammit! Can I get a Niner game on TV up here?
no alcohol! thats crazy...but hey you still have this
