New or old?
We have a new..
..President, Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, a WR , a new 3rd sting QB?
We have are old Fulback, back, and an new, oldschool mindset.
Singletary Spouts off as it's a new era.. ..well it is.. but?
Is this new era, just a rude awakening.. a reminder.. of what, not only this sport has lost, but everday life in general?
Does Mike Singletary's new era, consist of something new? or is it something we lost, and need to remember?
Is the Hiring of Jimmy Raye, the search for a back up tail back, and resecuring the run blocking, Full back - we had let go with haste (My favorite free agent signing!)....
..Going to bring us something new?
Or is it the biggest step back, Towards.. :) .. our winning ways of the past?
I know there are those who get caught up in media, well obviously my opnion is.. ..hearsay isn't real, what happens on the field, is real.
I believe we have a a real coach, and a real football team, and this new era, WILL have us back, to our old self again..
So what do you think is so new, or old, about Mike Singletary's coaching philosphy..
And most of all.. what new/old things would you like to see, out of this new/old era?
(Dropping his pants doesn't count!, THAT'S HEARSAY!)

The old guard.
Singletary has kept most of Nolans choices. Sometimes, not a good choice. When you rebuilt a company, you want new and fresh ideas. You hired new coaches who will buy into you ideas.
Contradiction
Didn’t Mike sing say before.. “I’m building where Nolan left off” but at the same time it’s suppose to be a New Era

Well..
..he has ditched, the hybrid 3-4.. for a reg. 3-4. Also he got rid of Martz, and Hired Jimmy Raye.. and he has let Manusky, do more of what he wants with the defense, and much less of what Nolan was doing, they ever got rid of the “Win the west” sign?
If he did say that he was building where Nolan left off. I think it’s safe to say we didn’t have much to begin with, from a philosohical stand point. So taking over from where Nolan left off, going about business the way he has, seems like he is using the team left behind by Nolan, but his vision is completely different from Nolan’s, therefor, it is a new era, but that is kind of off the question.
But, That’s ok I do that all the time. :)
