da bears
darn i wish he could have came to us. whatever i guess i dont really care since bears had to give up teo first rounders. i know i wouldnt want niners to give up two first rounders
Stunning.
I just got home from work, and was floored to see what Denver got in return.
Kyle Orton, 2 1st round picks and a 3rd?
WOW. McDaniels is going to turn Orton into a very good QB, watch. This is the biggest rip-off in the history of trades, and the Redskins won’t even be victim!
Way to go Denver, you sly sons of a bitches.
I think the Bears got a good deal. It’s a lot of picks, but they’ll have Cutler for years to come. For a team that spent the last x years suffering through Grossman and his insufficient replacements, this is kind of like the Holy Grail.

my only question
who does Cutler throw the ball to?

Plenty of time to figure that out before the season starts.

I guess
If I’m a Chicago fan, I’d be jacked up to see Cutler coming to town.
I just think Chicago overpaid. Maybe I’m wrong.
Would I be happy if San Fran traded this year’s number 1, next year’s number 1, and a third to Denver? Probably.
I just think the Broncos got an extremely incredible deal in return for Cutler. Ofcourse, if Chicago does any damage at all this year, next year’s pick won’t be nearly as valuable.

Rookies...
… and isn’t Tory Holt still available?
Yes, I believe so
There’s strong rumours of him becoming a Titan, however.
I think Cutler unfortunately gets the worse end of this deal. He’s got Devin Hester as his primary (I think), and Matt Forte as his ground game support. Hester had 600 yards receiving last year. Forte had a very strong rookie campaign (and can catch out of the backfield), but Greg Olsen might be the best receiving option currently on the Bears roster.
Maybe the reason the Bears have failed to have a marquee QB is not just because Rex Grossman sucks, but because of the supporting cast and idiotic management (see: Thomas Jones trade).

Cutler
That’s what he kind of gets, though. If he really did ask for a trade (which I’m sure he did), he had to have known a situation like this was a possibility. I mean think about it: what kind of teams need a young star QB most? The losing ones that have very little overall talent.
Considering how bad their quarterbacks have been since Greatest Human Being Of All Time Jim McMahon (if that’s not complimentary enough for GeoMak, then oh well), I think they felt that price was worth it for a guy with the kind of talent that Cutler has. I don’t know if I would have done it, but I can see why they did.

Greatest Human Being Of All Time Jim McMahon
why you gotta sell him short like that?
Simply by pulling on both ends, Patrick Willis can stretch diamonds back into coal
Cause he’s a hater.
