Ego won’t be his strong suit, that’s a fact.
I prefer Crabtree, and if we don’t land him, receiver can wait until round 3 or 4. If Barden is hanging around in 3, he’s well worth it. It’s hard to say how the receivers will come off the board this year. Last year’s pre daft hype had some WRs going early, and not a single one was taken until round 2.
This year, there’s a handful considered potential first rounders (Crab, Maclin, Harvin, DHB, Nicks). If things turn out like last year, Barden could end up in round 3. Crabtree and Maclin appear to be first round locks. The rest is up in the air.

Nobody is saying he's a first rounder
But I’ve seen him going as high as the second round. I’m not sure I’d to take the chance on him that high that but as productive as he was in college and as impressive his intangibles are, I’d be hard-pressed not to consider a second round reach.
As for the first round though? We’re talking about a Big West school….

I didn't think anyone was
saying Barden was a first rounder. I’m just saying it will be interesting to see this year’s WR draft class get selected. After Crabtree, is there a true first round talent? Maclin probably, Harvin likely, but after that, who knows.
It all affects where Barden gets taken. If the WRs don’t start flying off the board until Round 2, Barden could very well be sitting around come round 3.

Yeah I’m not sure what I was reading last night (perhaps 4/20 ran a little past midnight) but after I reread the post I was much chagrined to realize I couldn’t edit my post.

First round WRs
I think Crabtree is the only surefire first rounder. Maclin, as you pointed out, will likely get a first round selection, too. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if this draft turned out to be similar to last year’s: hardly any WRs in the first (this year), and a run of them in the second and third.

3rd round is about right for Ramses. He will almost certainly provide value as a red zone target, so he’s worth a 3rd and has a little upside. But he’s by no means a lock to become a starter and any team taking him in the 2nd or higher is taking a big risk on a guy who may not be able to separate in the NFL.

I see him as a good 2nd rounder...
There are alot of teams with WR needs… rams, seahawks (depending who they take), Eagles, Titans, Giants + a few others… so to think Barden may be there for round 3, its hard to believe so if he’s there in the second round I would like to see Barden wearing red and gold
Joe and Steve were under the same system for years... don't expect Smith to be super so soon.

Nice catch
but did anyone see Jordan Norwood in this competition?
Didn’t drop a single pass in 2 rounds.

Barden was “Great West”, not “Big West”
As for his college career, lets remember that he broke the FCS record for most games with a touchdown….a record previously held by Jerry Rice.
