49ers agree to terms with UFA Marques Harris --"The 49ers did address their depth concerns at outside linebacker when they agreed to terms Monday with four-year veteran Marques Harris, an unrestricted free agent who started three games last season for the Chargers. He recorded 2.5 sacks last season."
Saw this on Maiocco's blog, I haven't heard anything about this. Is it new or did I just miss it with all the draft stuff going on? I don't know much about Harris so I linked to his NFL.com player profile.

cool, thanks
wasn’t sure if I missed it because of all the draft hoopla or what.
"I'll be honest with you, I love his music, I do, I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman"
signing
It was a very quiet signing…I’d heard they were interested, but missed the signing of him…I think he’s agreed to terms but hasn’t officially put pen to paper…but either way we’ll have something for it. Thanks.

Was it a good signing??
I thought Scot said 6’ 2" 240 lbs. This guy is 6’1" 231lbs. and not as physical as a Everette Brown but he’s a cheap depth addition. He has more FF’s than Lawson in his career so it’s not horrible.

It's possible...
… the signing was with the thought of him moving inside to compete with everyone else currently there. Camp fodder, perhaps, too.
I think he's really a pass-rush specialist
Although I could be wrong. If he is, this should assuage some of concerns of people who really wanted Brown. (Brown should have a better career, but I bet Harris contributes more this year).
It’s a good short-term addition that should help the team until we can get a top-quality pass rusher, but also one of those signings that will probably have no relevance to our eventual attempts to win a championship.
If he's a pass rush...
… specialist, he’s a pretty darn small one. He’s BARELY big enough to play MLB in a 4-3 or WILB in a 3-4, let alone play DE in a 4-3 or OLB in a 3-4.
