San Francisco 49ers 2009 Minicamp Day 1 Photos

The big wigs of SB Nation came through in a big way with our recent photo distribution deal. It enables the sites to get access to top quality AP photos hot off the presses. We're not even through the first day of minicamp and we've scored some pictures from practice already. I'm thinking once we get to training camp and more regular pictures, we can start a somewhat regular "caption this" type of contest, seeing who can come up with the best caption.

In the meantime, if you scroll over the picture, an option for "Browse More Photos" will pop up. For now it's mostly draft pictures, but they're slowly adding more practice photos in.

If you were thinking you’d wake up from the Crabtree dream, it is in fact reality. Now just need to get him signed to a contract before training camp.

Question

anybody know when Crabtree will be able to start working with the team?

I’m not sure what type of foot injury he has, and was curious to how long he might be unable to practice.

If I'm not mistaken...

It was a stress fracture in the foot that required a screw to be inserted. All post-draft accounts of the injury seem to say that he’s definitely sitting out this minicamp but should be ready by the time training camp opens (assuming his contract is inked by then, too).
