Plex to Niners? ESPN rumor
Was hoping someone had ESPN Insider, because supposedley there is a rumor on ESPN saying the Niners are interested in Plex. I don't particularly believe it, but I can't read it either cause of the whole insider thing.

an article regarding Plex and the Bears, not Plex and the Niners.

Cause on the main ESPN page the link said something along the lines of “Niners: Plex/Crabtree in ’09.” That links gone now though unfortunatley.
My guess is they probably had a list of like 10 teams who could POTENTIALLY be interested in him, and the niners were on the list. I for one hope it’s not true, but wanted to know nevertheless what the article said.

It's a BS rumor
They just discuss teams that could conceivably use a wide receiver. There is no basis in fact for the rumor.

I knew it was Plax
I just tend to lazily pronounce his first syllable Plex, which I thought many others do as well.
But the complex situation is a better excuse.

They're just guessing.
Under the “Rumors” section about Plaxico they list the Rams, 49ers, Raiders, Bears, and Jets as possible landing spots for him. But they don’t give any proof the the 49ers are really interested. They’re only guessing the 49ers may be interested because they’ve lacked a top WR since TO left. Personally I think it would be a huge mistake to sign him. I think this is one of the best group of WRs the 49ers have had for a long time.
