Running Backs with expected break out year
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/jim_trotter/05/29/rbs/index.html
Don't know if anyone has seen this one but I found this on SI today. Take a look, it is a list of 6 RB's that could have a brake out year this and Frank Gore is at the top of the list. Sounds good to my ears. GO NINERS!!!!!!! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/jim_trotter/05/29/rbs/index.htmlThis is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

The article is about rebound years, not breakout years. I mention because I think it’s a big difference. For example, I think a guy like Josh Morgan is a potential candidate for a breakout year among wide receivers. Most of the guys in this article already broke out. It’s a screwy list because Mendenhall is not looking at a turnaround, since he never broke out in the first place. He’d fit better on a breakout list.

Thanks for the clarification. I just wanted to highlight that there is a rational reason to believe that Gore’s contribution this year could be much improved due to a change in offensive philosophy and new and more talented personal in offense in general. This may prove to be true as long as Gore remains healthy and injury free. I find this very encouraging and just want to pass it along.

I wasn't aware that Gore had shown up overweight...
He looks pretty cut in the OTA pictures. He did a pretty good job leaning down.
The cake is a lie.

On a side note
JJ Arrington (former cardinal) was cut by the Broncos because he needs surgery. Could we see a repeat of last year for the broncos RB corps?

POWER COUNTERS!!
I like what I’m hearing. Frank and Coffee pounding the middle will open up the passing game in the middle of the field where Morgan and Crabtree and maybe Jones are likely to excel with their size. It should also freeze the LB’s long enough to get Vernon into the flat. He need to get the ball on a short yardage pass and turn up field to be the most effective.
