Singletary talking about Favre
Glad he has two guys battling for the role, and doesn’t have to resort to Favre.
Thank god

Seriously
Favre is way too old. Definitely do not want to have to deal with him.

OT
Off topic, but just now noticed. SBN fixed that disappearing act that FanShots used to perform when they were promoted to the front page.

Best Quotes
On Laurence Taylor vs. Dick Butkus:
“I love L.T., I do, but I also love Dick.”
On whether he would let a 300 lb tackle run the football:
“Can he get four yards? Then I’d say yeah”
Oh really, then why did Michael Robinson run the football last season in Arizona on the last play of the game instead of Abreyo Franklin? HMMMMMMMMMMM?!?!?!?!
Finally, the big fat one from Total Access was asked who his most influential coach was, and I heard the most surprising answer from the whole broadcast:
“I would have to say this guy’s [points to Singletary] offensive coordinator, Jimmy Raye”
wat
Blind devotion.

Maybe
Franklin can’t get four yards?

We’ll have to be. There can be no if, and or but about it. I figured going into the draft, we certainly wanted to get an offensive tackle, but if we did not get one it was a confirmation we had one on the team. We have a couple of offensive tackles on the team and it’s on them. I’ve talked with them and told them I’m confident in them and it’s up to them. I have all the confidence in the world we’ll be just fine at that position.

Not really related.
But my dad met Mike Singletary at Safeway today. In the juice section too, I would have thought juice was too wimpy for Samurai Mike. ;-)
My dad (also a Mike) said he seemed very nice. Mike went right up and shook my dad’s hand and talked to him a little bit.
Not sure if anyone cares but i thought it was pretty cool. Plus, I’m jealous. I’m going to have to visit the local Safeway more often. ;-)

You mean
Mike Singletary met your Dad. Was he wearing his cross while pushing the shopping cart?

Not sure what the difference is.
But my dad didn’t notice the cross if he was.

What, does he eat the tree before the fruit can even grow?

LOL
juice is wimpy?
Lets see: alcohol, juice, tea, soda, milk and water (am I missing a group). We know he’s not a raging alcoholic so which of the other four besides juice would make him manly?

Samurai don't drink juice.
They drink blood. ;-)
