June 11th's OTA Play of the Day: "Rookie tight end Bear Pascoe somehow gathered in a 20-yard lob from Alex Smith, despite smothering coverage from linebacker Jeff Ulbrich. Pascoe jumped up and plucked the ball of Ulbrich’s back. Upon seeing the catch, the linebacker slid to the turf in disbelief." - What a beast; this guy rules.

visualize it

"I'll be honest with you, I love his music, I do, I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, I don't know if it gets any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman"
That guy...
… is huge. It’s funny when TEs are bigger than LBs. It almost makes you wonder what LBs are good for in those scenarios.
We love you Bear!
Glad to see their throwing to you now. Now we can see how good you are not at just blocking, but catching the ball. Good start.
Wasnt it 30 yards anyway?
(From 49ers.com)
Play of the day honors went to rookie tight end Bear Pascoe. Pascoe caught a deep post pattern over the middle by reaching over Jeff Ulbrich and hauling in Alex Smith’s 30-yard pass.
"I think I got too wide on my route," Pascoe said after practice. "But I’m taller than Jeff is and I just made it work. Alex put it in the right spot and he gave me a chance to win [possession]."
I guess so
I’m just a moderator in NJ, I wasn’t there. That makes it even more bad-azz of course.
Blind devotion.

Agreed
Whether it was 20 or 30, it was still a great catch, from a “blocking tight-end” no doubt. I think he will shed that assumption fairly quickly.
