Golden Nuggets: NFL.com day?
Supposedly NFL.com is hosting some kind of 32 teams in 32 days business and the 49ers were featured yesterday. I went through the site searching for anything and everything and could not find much of anything about the 49ers. I found a couple things, but it didn't seem like much if it was 49ers day at the site. Anyways, if anybody has any links to that stuff, please post them in here for everybody to check out.

No links but...
I did watch it and there really was nothing to discuss. The premise of the 4 minute segment was the strange question, “will Crabtree make a difference” or something like that. Did they forget we signed Jones and have some guy named Morgan. Then they blabbed on about nothing like NFLN always does.
It never ceases to amaze me how unenlightened the NFLN is. I say that it wouldn’t be wrong to say they are about 3 months behind in their analysis.

No
Because they did not mention any important developments. I was hardly expecting fawning. What I was expecting was I dont know,(1) returning to a successfull formula of 06 (Turner) only with a much more talented team, (2) Did not mention our defense, that is, why a team who finished 13th in defense and under 27th on offense LAST YEAR with again more talent and experience should be ranked 27th best team?

There are a lot more factors that come into play...
With those rankings, and if they did a thorough analysis of those factors, my guess it that you would still disagree with NFLN. The 49ers have made slight improvements, not major ones, yet they still have another OC in the mix this year, and no clear cut starter at QB that can sniff “Elite”. Well, they could if Peyton Manning was the Center.
BTW, Turner’s offense ranked 24th that season. Martz brought them up to 22nd. The last time the 49ers cracked the Top 10 on offense was during Erickson’s first season, and we all know what happened after the Cap purge.
Well, we're waiting....

The last time we were top ten...
we had a #1 receiver. Guess what we have now? Two # 1 receivers.
Oh and this was voted by the fans, it wasn’t a decision made by NFLN. I thought the niners would be ranked higher strictly based on our nationwide fan base alone. What happened to all those niner’s fans? Maybe they don’t watch NFL network.
