Golden Nuggets: Tick Tock...Tick Tock...Tick Tock
To say it's quiet in 49ers-land right now would be a bit of an understatement. Given that I could only find one new 49ers story, I've posted a few other links related to the NFL, but not the 49ers.

Great read

DHB = R.Woods?
That’s quite the jump there. A lot of young players in the NFL have leg issues while adjusting to the NFL game. The 49ers had their own issues with not only Woods, but also players like Jason Hill and Josh Morgan.
The thing that led to Woods crapping out was many of called lack of dedication or desire to play. It’s a bit too early to say DHB shares that same quality.
In any case, I’m glad the Raiders took him, as the 49ers would be paying for two LTs right now where only one can actually be a LT.
Gruden will be good on MNF.
Sorry, but Kornheiser was as interesting as warm beer. Gruden’s a lot more animated and knowledgeable.
Best color commentator ever? Al LoCasale, the Raiders executive who retired in 2003. He did commentary during a 9er-Raiders preseason game some years back and I was blown away. He not only described what went right or wrong on the plays, but also gave some insight on what the coaches were looking at, who they were attempting to isolate in order to get a read on, and which player(s) missed or made their assignments. The kind of commentary fans only dream about. Too bad he didn’t do more of it.
