Pregame Pump-Up
Nation,
Salutions. Again, I'm puting this post up because there is absolutely nothing to talk about. Don't jump down my throat with all this noise about, "why are we even discussing this?" or "this post is stupid." Just smile and play along.
This season, the 49ers and their success will be closely tied to the emotion we show on the field, for a couple of reasons. Singletary is an intense personality where as our Nolan coached team was very lackadaisy. We want to be an intimidating and physical presence on both sides of the ball. I think this would be a perfect chance for our team to start a pregame ritual to set the tone. Something in the vein of what Ray Lewis does in Baltimore, what Drew Brees does in New Orleans or even what Brian Dawkins used to do in Philipelphia.
So the question I'd like to pose to you, Nation, is who should be our pregame firestarter? After answering the poll question, maybe give us a little idea of what you think the pregame pump up should be.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

BINGING THE HEAT
The question belive you pose to the NATION is " who should be our pre-game pump ur?
I understand your question to be " …which player should be the one to stoke the team to be " GET OUT THERE AND GET THE JOB DONE..".
My answer to the poll was Shaun Hill simply because as the favored QB starter he would be the natural choice as the “leader of the team..” However we all know that Willis has been the "…FIRE STARTER…" the last two years. In times of old there have been many. including Rice, Ronnie Lott , Randy Cross, Kenna Turner, and on a rare occasion Joe Montana and Steve Young,, and of course the great one Bill Walsh.
So the idea here is that the majority of the "FIRE STARTERS " have been on the defensive side of the ball.. I guess that is because the defense tends to be more emotion driven… go figure…So I realy belive the heart of the Niners will be on the Defense, likely Willis however you never know who from week to week who will be “…On FIRE…”
GO NINERS!!!!!!!
Justin Smith?
I think he might be able to that. I don’t really know him that well, but he is a veteran presence and seems like he could do that. I think it is funny when Drew Brees does it.

Andy Lee
Speaking of the man, the myth, the legend, when I finally break down and get a niners jersey in the new design, it will be a Lee jersey, without a doubt.

Isn’t that kind of like admitting defeat? I mean i know the guy is a great punter but every time he’s on the field it’s a bad thing.
Rafael Rodriguez: #8 on our list, n/a on a stat sheet.
BBk supports Sleepy's Law: "As a hoops discussion grows longer, the probability of an absurd trade proposal involving LeBron James approaches 1."
Lee
Nah…I figure he’s been a consistent talent for the team and I can’t imagine many people have an Andy Lee jersey.

That was awesome.

Sopoaga
Voted other for Sopoaga, he got the Polynesian tats, so he can probably do this traditional dance Haka, to signify the team going into battle…. I always found the pregame ritual to be great for football when players from the University of Hawaii would do it….
Joe and Steve were under the same system for years... don't expect Smith to be super so soon.
This is easy . . .
Isaac Sopoaga gets the team fired up with his Samoan Warrior Fire Dance. The players love it and it’s fun for the fans too.
Kezarvet
u mean HAKA or a diffrent dance
