49ers 2009 June Minicamp Photos

It's a beautiful Sunday out here in the Bay Area (get to the Union Street Festival if you have time).  I thought for this particular Lazy Sunday, I'd roll out photos from the last couple days of the 49ers' mandatory minicamp.  This one has Patrick Willis receiving some instructions from Mike Singletary.

Yesterday, Maiocco posted some comments from Willis in which he said he thought the defense could be one of the best in the league this year.  I'd have to say that having Mike Singletary there to provide instruction is certainly a step in the right direction.  Although there are still plenty of questions to be answered on the defensive side of the ball, having some consistency from last year to this year should be a step forward.  Aside from no longer using the Big Sub, having a pre-determined 3-4 the entire year (I'm assuming) should be of use as well.

If you scroll your mouse over the photo, you'll be able to click on it and open up a photo gallery with some other practice photos.  While there's nothing earth shattering in there, there are still some interesting shots.

caption contest

I’m thinking we’ll use it for the next caption contest. Maybe in a couple days.

No Gloves

Ha! Poundtherock — York’s hair was one of the first things I noticed too. What a colossal tool bag.

Also, I found it interesting that although Nate Davis is clearly not using the laces, he was throwing without gloves.

A Jedi you are not yet....

The pic remindes me of “..feel the force Luke, feel the Force.. you are destined to be a great Jedi one day….”
