Damn it!!! Is it just me?
... or is time actually coming to a complete and utter standstill now that the NFL season is so close? I think it was just last weekend on Saturday, July 18th (about 53 years ago) when I looked at the preseason schedule and thought "Oh boy! The NFL preseason starts in the second week of August. That's soon! Thank God it's finally almost here!
Boy was I wrong.
It was not soon, and it feels like we've got a couple more centuries to go before we even get to watch the Niners play their first preseason game, let alone the actual real season.
Seriously, I've been watching the clock the whole time I've been typing this and that stupid second hand hasn't even moved. Move! Tick just one second gaddamnit.
Would old father time please get a (expletive-deleted) move on??!!
Where's that universal remote that works on time that Adam Sandler didn't want to use anymore? I'll fastforward to the beginning of August gladly and the consequences be damned.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

As much as I want football season to start
I equally don’t want fall term to start… I guess I’ll just take the awesome with the bad.
The cake is a lie.

I don't know about you guys
But I love college, especially since I took all the hard classes last year. There’s nothing better than waking up hungover on sunday morning and watchin football
If I gotta play, I'm gonna play 'till I win,
Since I gotta be here, I can´t wait to begin

No Sh.. !!!! I heard that...
It is not you……In the old sailing days there was a place near the tropics called the "horse latitudes".. Where the wind stops and sails were flat and the ships simply drifted for days and weeks on the slow meandering current. I won’t go into the details however. in the life of football fans we are in the “horse latitudes” and it truly sucks.. I am tired and weary of the endless, meaningless blogs of “who is the best. blah, blah, blah” or who is the worst." blah, blah, blah.." or " etc, etc, ( no offense Fooch, PB and all I know you all doing the best you can) Damn,, lets get this party started already
Idea
Take all of this pent up energy and devote it to researching for your fantasy draft. Maybe even get to know another team or two!
Sorry to say
but I am not into fantasy football, just never really go into it so guess I’ll just have bide my time and wait. Thanks for the sugestion though..

Let's Roll!
I haven’t been this pumped for a new season to begin since the late summer of ’82! I spent a long weekend in Spokane that July and remember scouring a local supermarket there for football mags. The exhileration of finding the niners on the cover of most of them was glorius to this long-suffering fan.
From that point on, for the next decade and a half, the expectation was for at least 10-6. Then we sank into despair reminiscent of those seventies blahs, and I knew that the coming year held no real hope of improvement due to the woeful lack of talent and the revolving coaching door.
We are coming back, friends. Eyebrows will be raised this year. Within two years, 10-6 may be a disappointment.
Now THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT
Lets tee it up and get it on….
