Mobile commenting and "re-tweeting"

Folks have been inquiring for some time about the ability to comment here from their cell phone. Well, the tech folks have come through again and set up mobile commenting. Given the volume of devices out there it might not work for every single one, but they did test them on numerous browsers.

Additionally, the re-tweet feature will allow you to share it quickly on Twitter without having to copy and paste the link.

As always, big thanks to the tech crew for continuing to develop the network into the best on the Internet.

Is there a separate mobile address?

Of all my favourite websites, I’ve always hated the fact that I couldn’t get Niners Nation on my phone. I use my phone more than my PC nowadays for web access and I’ve bookmarked the likes of m.facebook.com, wap.nfl.com and 49ers.com/mobile, but I couldn’t find a mobile address for NinersNation. Is there one? Can we access a mobile version of the site as well as just comment?

If you have an iphone

London then just type in niners nation and it’ll automatically take you to mobile niners nation. If not the URL is mobile.ninersnation

I love it

Especially because I don’t have computer access a lot of the time. The only problem is you can’t see the fanshots unless you go to the full site version

I don’t have an iPhone, just a regular 3G web connection from my mobile. I just entered the address and it’s taking a heck of a long time to load, much longer than the other WAP versions of my favourite sites, but perhaps that’s just because it’s the first time I’ve logged in. This will be a Godsend if it works though – NinersNation literally is one of only two sites I cannot live without that do not configure properly on my phone (the other is Bloglines – which means I need my PC to catch my Maiocco and Barrows RSS feeds). Too bad I had to get help from a Chelsea fan, huh, diehard ;)

In Hertfordshire. Are you US or UK? I have to be honest – I’m still struggling with mobile.ninersnation.com. It takes forever to load, and even then doesn’t configure properly. Does it definitely work on non-iPhone 3G mobiles? Do mobiles in the States work off a different web access system to 3G?
