Denver @ San Francisco - Second Half Thread

Th_broncos_icon_medium49ers_logo_medium

Stats at the half

Total Yards - DEN 131 SF 128
Total First Downs - DEN 9 SF 7
3rd Down Efficiency - SF 57% (4/7) DEN 50% (3/6)
Red Zone Efficiency - SF 1/2 DEN 0/1
T.O.P. - DEN 15:30 SF 14:30
Turnovers - DEN 3 SF 0

Score - SF 9 DEN 0

I'd figure I'd put this thread up now, because the first has reached 300+ before the second half has even begun.  Kyle Orton really made it easy on the 49ers defense, as Denver had the slight T.O.P. edge, but 1 of Orton's 3 INTs killed one of Denver's premier scoring chances.

Alex needs to take notes about making a decision with the ball.

Gotta say

Huard getting rid of the ball so quickly was pretty impressive. I know he’s playing against backups but he HAS looked good. I still want Shaun to start but I wouldn’t feel too scared if Huard had to play because of injury or something.

Well, with Hill clearly cementing his starter spot and Huard showing that he is clearly far superior to smith and with Davis being the QB of the future, why waste a valuable roster spot on a 4th QB ? It would be the best thing for Smith also if they let him try somewhere else. (but won’t happen, unfortunantly.)
