49ers' offer to Crabtree worth $20 million
Here is the first bit of information I've heard on what the 49ers have offered Crabtree. Here is a link to compare what other draft picks around him got: http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d810d9ec2&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true. Notice that the 5 year 20 mil, 16 mil guaranteed would actually be low for his 10th slot. The 26.5 mil with incentives, however, would be more in line with what a 10th pick should be getting. It would seem like based on this information they haven't made their final final offer, leaving some wiggle room at the top-end (something closer to Raji's contract).

that does seem a bit low
5 years $20m with $16m guaranteed is not a terrible deal though. That’s a lot of coin upfront, and the $6.5m in incentives seems fair. I think a deal like 5 years $25m, $16m guaranteed and a $6.5m in incentives would do the trick quite nicely.

Yahoo sports...
… is a load of crock. They just took Maiocco’s theoretical numbers, manipulated it and turned into a “fact” that the Press Democrat reported.
lawl.
uhhhhg...
Such is the state of “journalism” now-a-days.

… and regurgitation don’t bother me as much as those things are to be expected when all someone has to do is copy and paste using CTRL+C and CTRL+V nowadays. What bothers me is the manipulation of a hypothetical suggestion and writing it as if it were fact. I guess that should be expected too, but it’s just terrible.
