The niners won. However, our starters definately lost.
The first half looked like we did not want to score. The play calling was a bit off as well.
Shaun Hill looked uncomfortable, edgy and unable perform. He was off on his short throws as well. I hope this is some preseason jitters.
But keep in mind there were a few draw plays on third and long that should have been passes. Despite the poor play on offense, the niners did not fumble or throw interceptions.
It doesn't really matter who won or lost in a preseason game.
It just matters how your starters performed. Say if the 49ers were looking great with the starters in against Dallas’ starters, but then got blown out horribly in the second half, they would still be the ‘winners’ except there would be a big question about depth.
