Crabtree's Agent Threatening to Re-Enter Crabtree in 2010 Draft
Crabtree needs to fire his agent. Does he really think Crabtree has any leverage? He fell to 10 this year. How far is he going to fall next year?

I feel bad for 49ers fans.
I thought you guys got great value when Crabtree dropped to #10 but it’s clear that regardless of how good a player is, he’s going to be a cancer like TO or Chad Johnson. Doesn’t this guy understand that he won’t be picked in the top 5 if he sits out and that by sacrificing a year of his career he’ll probably lose more money? What a joke. Guys who have passion for the game like Orakpo beg their agents to sign and not to fuck around. Can’t wait until theirs a slotted rookie salary system.

i do not think he will be a cancer once the money situation is handled..orakpo was a guy i really wanted and the team needed, maybe. but they know he wont be picked in the top ten next year, they have to..their should be a rookie salary cap for sure. if i was the agent or general office i explain to him its way better if he’s in on time, and maybe down the road in a year or two we can restructure if you’re so great. unlike some organizations(the cardinals perhaps) we reward good play, no injuries, and hard work with nicely restructured deals. i give the man 6 years, 30 million, loaded with incentives, well maybe not LOADED….but you get the gist. SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND PLAY.

Looks Bad on Both Sides
Plus all the ads he is doing and his jersey sales. if he did not wanted to be called a diva then this situation is making him one. He can only save face now by getting rid of his agent or telling his agent to accept a deal worthy of the 10 th player picked. They can add on incentives that can make him more money. He should get more catches and yards then DHB. His agent is just trying to get more players so he can keep saying that he can get you the money you deserve. Now this teams will see who this agents represent for first round talent and draft those guys in later rounds. Good job SOB!

I disagree...
I don’t think it looks bad for the niners at all. The guy fell to the #10 pick, he should expect to be paid like it. Parker may have it in mind that the gap has to close between the top picks salary and the #10 picks salary, but he’s hardly addressing it very well. The only parties that look bad out of this is Crabtree and his agent.

If I remember correctly, teams were turned off by his attitude prior to the draft.
I’d guess that’s a good part of the reason he’s not going to get the money he wants.
