Seahawks OLB Leroy Hill to miss two weeks
Hill has a groin/abdominal strain and will not play this week against the 49ers. This certainly can't hurt the 49ers chances on offense this Sunday.

That should give Hill
A little more time to pass, IIRC Hill is a very good pass rusher.

You're right about Hill being a good pass rusher
…but Herring is better than Hill at defending the pass, so Hill (QB) may be worse off overall.
This is good for us.
Hopefully he’ll recover quickly though, who is the backup?
The cake is a lie.

Will Herring is expected to take his place
D.D. Lewis was resigned for added depth, DE Derek Walker was dropped for him.
Herring stepped in on Sunday after Hill got injured and there was pretty much no drop-off in performance. It WAS the Rams but Herring is a solid backup. Not the kind to let your guard down on.
Glenn Beck likes argument, but has a deap-seated hatred for logic.
Herring Isn't Hill
By any stretch of the imagination. The loss of Hill will help in both the run and pass game. Seattle’s defense will be without three standout players against the 49ers. Julian Peterson(traded to Detroit), Marcus Trufant and Leroy Hill injured. They will also be missing their best offensive linemen, Walter Jones. This is all good news for the 49ers!!!

Which will make it even more embarassing if they lose, right?

Embarassing to lose?
Your going a bit overboard there.

We're lacking three standout defensive players and a Hall of Fame tackle, don'cha know! ;)

I don't feel embarrased to lose to the likely best team in the division
Who are the 3 defensive guys? Trufant, Hill, and…
Also, Jones may be a hall of famer but he sure doesn’t play like one anymore.

That's too bad
Cause I don’t want excuses and Seattle fans have had more than a few all off-season. You also never know how well a new guy can play in a one or two game step-in situation.
You gotta bring ass to get ass.
Eh. It's a pretty significant loss.
Thankfully, Tatupu’s injury was minor so at least he’ll be around.
Will Herring isn’t nearly as good a pass-rusher or savage tackler but he’s good at dropping back into coverage and gets the job done.

Then you should win, right?

I don't know. Hill didn't play enough on Sunday for anyone to get a gauge on what kind of impact he would have.

Gauge him off last week?
You’ve been ademant in stating that Hill’s win loss record and accuracy are overrated. So what you’re saying is you know that Hill can win games, but you just wanted to flap the ums and hate on a niners QB?

I think FF was talking about Leroy Hill
Regardless, Shaun Hill doesn’t win games, the team wins.

not only would it help S.Hill,
It certainly can help a outside running game. Hint , Hint !
