we can hope...

I’d still take Cody over Berry, but either would be a dream come true for this organization.

Rays in '08.... Desmond Jennings - the breakout continues.....

Eric berry for me

If we draft a bit lower though I would take Taylor Mays

Perfect start to the draft

Eric Berry, the fat man from Alabama i think(360 lb. Dl), and i have a new found liking to Kevin Locker, I think we can get him in the 2nd round due to his lack of numbers!

Jake Locker?

Mort was already saying last week that he’s up there with Bradford. Got a ways to go ‘til April but we’ll see if he’s still there in the 2nd.

Terrence Cody

would fit perfectly into our 3-4 system. He has been a dominant defensive tackle in one of the league best conferences. Some would say that Franklin has stepped it up big time and that’s hard to argue. But we could have two NT to rotate in and out and keep them fresh until Cody is ready to take over. This is nothing against Eric Berry who is going to be a perennial all pro in the NFL. But dominant NT’s are hard to come by.

It also depends on how the free agency season plays out. If the the owners and players come to a CBA and there is a cap next season the 49ers will have one of the best situations in the NFL. And Wilfork in New England as well as Landry in Baltimore will be available. I expect the 49ers to address one of the following positions in free agency. Strong Safety, defensive end or defensive tackle.

I'm sorry but there are more NT's in the league than Ed Reeds

Berry looks like the next Ed Reed

You Are Right About That

But in a 3-4 defense a dominating NT is extremely important and we really won’t find that on the free agent market unless the Patriots become foolish and allow Wilfork to slip away without placing a tag on him. That’s why i said this debate will have more merit after we see how the early stages of free agency plays out. Because if Wilfork becomes available then we go after him and then draft Berry in the 1st round. If not i have no issue with going after a player like Landry from Baltimore and switching Goldsen to the strong side then later drafting Cody. But it all depends on how the free agent season pans out and who we do/don’t get.

Their schedule

does not get any easier. One of the toughest in the league.

noticed that too

also if delhomme keeps playing like garbage we will have a good chance too

I think the Panthers are probably about 6 or 7 win team. Haven't seen their schedule though

The Broncos fluked their way to a win and are also heading into an absolute brutal stretch of games. I thinks Panthers and Broncos are gonna be pretty close in record.

If not for TB, I would say no wins at all. And I guess their running game can muster some too, but not many!!

Delhomme should have been benched 2 years ago. They may be better off with Alex Smith, and I am serious.

They play the NFC East and the AFC East

Washington, TB, Buffalo, Arizona, NO, Atlanta, *Miami, Jets, *TB, New England, *Minnesota, Giants and *Saints…….Home games……and Dallas this weekend. I’m sure they CAN win 8, but if they win 1-5 it won’t be a surprise!!
