Frankly I'm dissappointed
in this crop of captions, but I certainly didn’t have anything better
Really?
I think the Wilson one is actually quite original. Second favorite was Get in Da Choppa.

The choppa one is arnold, no?
I’m missing the reference which is probably why I’m not wild about it

yep
it’s arnold in Predator
As soon as the Wilson comment came up I was like
That’s not original at all anybody could have put willlllsooon! I was actually thinking about it b4 the comment came up but choose not to cuz I thought it was too easy and boring

wilson
I guess I just hadn’t even thought of it in that context. Obviously not “original” in that sense, but still I thought it was a funny option.

I thought the two movie references were clever. GET TO DA CHOPPA!!!! works because I didn’t see it coming. The Wilson reference is a good one as the Tom Hanks clip has the same expression with the hand reaching straight out.
Not the easiest caption for entertainment, I tried for 2 days to come up with something. If it were Deion Branch in the photo instead of Nate Burelson the captions would have been much more entertaining. If the flying football was missing from the photo the caption contest could gravitated to the Seahawks getting their butts kicked.
Chickenwings
I thought the one about chickenwings with a side of pigskin was good…
actually it would have been better as "I’ll have two sea-chicken wings with a side of pigskin! then show the sea-chicken logo again.. LOL… Dang I laugh every time I look at fearlessfrog’s avatar now!
I know I look stupid for asking, but...
I didn’t get the Wilson reference. I am guessing it’s a war movie reference, but I don’t think I have seen it. I’m not going to lose my man card for asking this question am I?
Wilson
It’s from Castaway. Tom Hanks was on an island and had a volleyball who he treated like a real person (The athletic company Wilson logo was on it so he called it Wilson). At one point when he’s getting off the island he loses Wilson and screams that.

I have never seen Full Metal Jacket...
For some reason I thought, man this must be from that movie. I don’t get it and they’re all gonna laugh at me. I saw parts of Castaway, but must have missed that part. Thanks for the clarification Fooch.

How bout
Color blind Burleson pitches it to Goldson for the win.
Burleson: Oh crap! We don’t have a #38…
Is there a non-Wow reference for Get to the Choppa?

Well, I know it was from an Arnold movie.

Now that Goldson...
Officially has more interceptions than Roman did in 2+ seasons, I think he is ready for a nickname. I am going with D-Gold. I know, I know far from original, but I think it has a ring to it, what do you guys think?
Please, no D-Gold...it's been overdone
How about Dasher?

One of these captions is clearly superior to and longer than the rest and not enough people are voting for it.
Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

rec'd for desperation
It was Johnny Hopkins, and Sloan Kettering, and they were blazin that s*** up everyday.
I was hoping to go undefeated for the year. :(

well for what it's worth
I voted for your caption. Wilson was pretty funny, but this is still lol funny to me
"It’s just a football!" Clements was heard screaming at the desperate receiver. "You’ve never even been in a war!"

Desperation is a stinky cologne. J/K Besides, my caption got no love at all and I thought it was at the very least amusing. Of course, quite frequently I am the only person laughing at my attempts at humor. But, “GET TO DA CHOPPA!”??? Really?
GET TO DA CHOPPA!
…the only one that made me laugh out loud (insert obligatory “lol”)
second best – wilson
I laughed the hardest at the Arnold impersonation.
But, my caption would say;
Clements: “Give me your lunch money, Nate!”
Burleson: “Noo, don’t hurt me.”
Goldson: “I got it, let’s get out of here!”
how about....
“Three grown men attempt to levitate a pigskin long enough to achieve their desired ends. If only they learned to use the Force to ‘pull’ and not just ‘lift’ they might have been successful.”
Lord of the Rings
Darn it, now that I think about it I should have done this one: “My Precious!!!”
