Frank Gore added to Pro Bowl Roster
Good news: We don't have to root for the Vikings in any form or fashion now. Rams RB Steven Jackson has decided to not play in the Pro Bowl this year because of his various nagging injuries. 49ers RB Frank Gore was the first alternate and will not be on the roster. It's Gore's second Pro Bowl appearance, his first coming during his record-breaking 2006. For the 49ers, the now four Pro Bowlers represents their most selections since the 2002 team had six players on the team.
The Pro Bowl doesn't get a lot of people jazzed up, but this selection is especially meaningful for the Miami native Gore. The only time the 49ers have played in Miami during Gore's playing time he was injured. This will be first chance to play in front of his hometown fans since his days at The U. It's also an impressive selection given his injury issues early in the season. It show just how much fans, coaches and players respect his performance this season. Big congratulations are in order for Frank.
And on that note, go Saints!

WORD!
Let’s hope both Warner AND Favre ride off into the sunset after very disappointing playoff exits! I’ll never be a bigger Saints fan!
Much easier, all-mighty Megatron, then attacking the real threat...The Autobots moonbase!!
I would love to see Brett lose and the Jets make the Super Bowl
with a rookie QB.

soooo glad for gore
getting to go back home will be good for him.rooting for the vikes just for that reason was getting hard to get into.
Well deserved
The man fights through injury, a bad OL, an offense with no true identity and still gets his fourth straight 1000-yard season. He’s securely in my top five greatest Niner RB’s.
I had a feeling he would get in somehow. So who is the second alternate if AP gets to the SB?
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?
Anybody still wanting to trade Gore?
He managed this despite missing three games, which i sjsut amazing.
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
Drew K keeps promoting RBs in his 100 in 100 column. I think want’s Power Run Frank out and Spread O Spiller in.
There is a misconception I think with the 100 in 100 posts. I am not promoting RB’s to the Niners. The 100 in 100 articles are not to address Niners specific needs in all cases. I basically took 100 of the top prospects at all positions as a preview leading up to the draft. The posts are meant to give people insight as to who will be entering the league. All of this has been done in random order.

If the Vikings go to the Super Bowl (please no)
Justin Smith will also make it to the Pro-Bowl as an alternate.
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
Who knows...
Maybe both Williams will get hurt against the Saints and not play in the Pro Bowl, not that I would wish injuries upon people, but it could happen

Congrats to Gore though....
he really does deserve it, one of the hardest working players on the team.
Solid? It’s the Pro Bowl, man! Come on now.
I speak fluent English and Arabic and have a working knowledge of Spanish. Yet a certain GrahamCrakalaka cannot distinguish me from Mike Fox. Man...
Tear it up Gore!!!!!

DT's in a 3-4
mainly have to get in on reputation, as they wont put up any gaudy numbers, a la Vince Wilfork and Shaun Rodgers. Give Franklin another great year and people will start to recognize his name and vote for him. Once people realize that him clogging up the middle is what leads to Patrick Willis’ ridiculous numbers, he will be given his due.

That's nice. Frank Gore deserves to go to the Pro Bowl.
