LIVE NN Community Mock Draft 2010
Well folks, here we are... it's draft time!
Below I have listed the draft method again for those that may not have made in time for the Q & A post. The Q & A post will still be where all questions are asked regarding the draft; so should you have any questions, please redirect them over there. I am also going to list the order in which teams will be draft so you will know when you are on the clock. Thanks to all for your participation once again.
DRAFT METHOD:
1. I will announce which team is on the clock with the following comment: THE ST. LOUIS RAMS ARE NOW ON THE CLOCK!! ...After this message, you will have 5 minutes to make your selection.
2. Your selection MUST appear exactly as this in the subject line: WITH THE 33RD PICK IN THE DRAFT, THE ST. LOUIS RAMS SELECT (PLAYER NAME) -- (POSITION) -- SCHOOL. Please use all caps so your pick will stand out.
3. After your selection, the next person will be on the clock once I make the announcement.
4. After your selection is made, it will be preffered that you give an explanation of why you made the specific selection. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SUBJECT LINE FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN PICKS. This way, the only thing that will appear in bold is the announcement and the pick.
5. It will help in following the conversation on each pick alot easier. And most importantly of all, when we put together the front page article, it will be easiest to sort through.

THE ST. LOUIS RAMS ARE NOW ON THE CLOCK!!
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?
WITH THE 1ST PICK IN THE 2010 NFL DRAFT, THE ST. LOUIS RAMS SELECT NDAMUKONG SUH -- DEFENSIVE TACKLE -- NEBRASKA
Analysis to follow in a bit.
What we've got here is a failure to communicate.
No, you don't.

If any of you have followed my comments you’ll know that I think this pick should be a QB.
However, since there are still many more things yet to happen before the draft I decided to just give them the BPA.
The Rams have a lot of needs, and while DT may not be the biggest, this pick should take care of at least one.

I think if the Rams don’t get a QB through FA or a trade they’ll pick Clausen with their #1 pick
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
Exactly.
But FA hasn’t even started…sooooo

Don’t use the subject line…just the rule
He was 5-15 with the Oakland Raiders and got fired before his second season was over. He went 7-6 in his one year at Tennessee in a season when the SEC wasn't terribly good. He lost at home to UCLA; the Bruins only road win in the Pac-10 came at Washington State.
subject line only for picks

He was #1 on my pick board…didn’t think he would fall though

the lions offense actually started to look competent, and the biggest hole on the offense in on the line, and there are after Okung, there is not a big drop off at tackle. i wouldn’t be surprised if the lions actually traded back into the first round to grab an OT.
limiting my options to D, it was either mccoy or berry, and with delmas in the secondary already mccoy fills a bigger need.
I think that’s smart. I read one mock that had them taking Berry to match with Delmas.
I didn’t think that would happen. Safety isn’t a premium position, and when you already have one, no way they take another.
especially when Delmas is already a very, very good one
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
Yep much better than the Raider’s safety pick or WR pick or….

Drew K for Ohio Niner (not present)

I disagree with this.
I think Eric Berry should have been the selection.

drew steps in and chooses as he sees fit I think. i agree with the pick. Could have been berry but you CAN pass up a safety, not your future LT. 2nd most important position behind QB I think.
It was a need based pick. If the person is not present, I will chose a player based on team need. We may have a different process for future drafts but for now, this is much quicker than a consensus type of deal.
I am open to suggestion for the future though

They can run the ball effectively and Freeman usually has enough time in the pocket to make his throws.

Davin Joseph, Jeremy Trueblood, and Jeff Faine are very good, but Donald Penn is average at best and Aaron Sears is inconsistent. I guess it’s debatable.

Safety has never been picked #5. Even though Berry is probably one of the few NFL starters ready to go from the gate his stock could fall simply because he plays safety.
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS ARE NOW ON THE CLOCK!!
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?

I meant a few years back where the Vikingsmissed their pick and the team behind them got it.

But nobody would be here to do the pick, so it the team would never pick. Does that make sense?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Haden go before Berry
but yeah I agree about Berry not making it past 10 (If he fell that far we could so grade up to get him though)

Davis ranked #2 on quite a few draft boards. If you’re looking for an OT he’s not that big a reach

Campbell has the most upside of any of the OTs in the draft.

They’ll still only be able to put up 6 points a game though.
If they wanted to get better on defense, why not Derrick Morgan.
They couldn’t even get pressure on Matt Cassell, for gods sake.

Browns have an excellent running game. The 4 games they won it was because they pounded the ball.
Their O-line is pretty good. I suspect that they’ll just use quinn in a game manager type of role.
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
Didn’t their QB only complete like 15 combined passes in their wins?
LMAO

again, i’m on board with it. Haden is hated on this draft board but NOT on others. Most scouts LOVE him and a lock down corner opens up a lot of things on defense.
although a little surprised that Holmgren wouldn’t go offense
LOL good thing you already made that 7 round pick huh?

Here's hoping 2010 is the end of our drought.

Updating picks
Sorry for interrupting without a pick, but I’ll update the picks as they come in on the main part of the post so Drew can focus on managing everything else.
You broke the rules, Fooch.
No posting on the subject line.

THE OAKLAND RAIDERS ARE NOW ON THE CLOCK!!
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?
Since you don’t have a team, would like the Raiders?
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?
If you do, I will reset your time from time of acceptance
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?
I’m not qualified, but if no one else would like to, I will. I might be too logical for Al Davis I’ll admit

You got it… TIME STARTS NOW!
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?
I can take another team, Drew
I speak fluent English and Arabic and have a working knowledge of Spanish. Yet a certain GrahamCrakalaka cannot distinguish me from Mike Fox. My God, the Dodgers suck.
Ok but let’s hold off for the 2nd round
Tim Tebow = 1,432,219 season tickets next year. Who wouldn't pick him in the 1st round with those projections?
… After 10 rounds of jose cuervo, I lost count and started counting again!

It’s the Raiders. Nothing makes perfect sense with them
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
I meant to say that it makes sense in Al Davis’ mind.
Extremely athletic player at a position of need.

Nope. Davis is committed to Russell for at least one more year.
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
really? not that i doubt you, but did he say it somewhere? some people were saying that either cable or russell will be gone
Russell was given permission by Davis to blow off the last team meeting of the year to go to Vegas.
If it comes down to Cable v Russell Cable is gone.
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will get picked in the first round.
He's big enough these days
