Hello Folks.First things first -good riddance to bad old poppa Rayes. This should have happened at the end of last season.Unfortunately l kind of understand the predicament that Coach Singletary was in.He had to keep an OC inorder to allow Offensive playbook consistency with QB Alex Smith.Since Poppa Rayes has been a member of the elite 'NFL Boys Club' for many decades, the old adage, Its not about what you know, but about who you know runs true here. The good thing here is that QB Alex Smith & former QB Coach & now our new OC Mike Johnson have worked together and have some good chemistry between them, which l hope will translate into winning on Gameday.QB Alex Smith has no excuse now, this is it - do or die.
l am sorry to you all Yankee Doodles, but l am really falling in love with this game. Using the two women with the same dress analogy, I was used to seeing the first woman to wear the dress called Rugby, and l thought she was gorgeous until the other woman called Grid Iron came along ,and all things changed she was the total package!
Going back to the heading, l would like to know in offensive play what exactly is Playing the Spread ? and suggesting that Mike Johnson is a guru in this,as well as saying QB Alex can do well playing the Spread.
In defensive play action what exactly is Defending Against The Screen play mean?As during the Saints game it kept on being mentioned that we were struggling in this department.Thank to you'll my Niners nation Family - FAITHFUL til l die,i'll keep my vow.Would appreciate X's and O's drawings where applicale to explain these terminologies.Trying to build up my understanding of this game, until l build up my confidence and take on coaching duties Offensive / Defensive for one of the local American football teams (vast shortage of technically sound coaches).
