Watching all the pregame shows this week, I still can't get it out of mind ever since last weekends debacle. One of the big stories in the NFL this week is of course Vick vs. McNabb. Highlights of Vick looking pretty damn amazing...whether it will last the whole season or whether it was simply just against crappy defenses is yet to be determined.
What I do know is WHY THE HELL we decided to dismiss Vick so quickly when there was all that talk going around about teams that would give a second chance, Does anyone remember those direct and emphatic quotes in the paper from Singletary saying "no way on Vick.: Was it ownership, GM, coaches...maybe everyone in organization. I know we would never want to take away from the tremendous valuable asset of Alex Smith, as I just don't get it why we never factored into that equation. Can anyone imagine having Vick, Gore, and Crabtree come together. Instead we are still stuck with Alex Smith, which just boggles the mind on how long this suffering is going to go on with this guy. Just really perplexed in being forced to watch Vick highlights on any NFL coverage this weekend, as to why we said we need to stick with Alex Smith when such a crazy upside QB so openly available. I remember it like it was yesterday screaming "Why" when Singletary publicly came out and said no way on "Vick" because Alex is our guy...hhuuuhhh???
