Eating Crow: Nate Clements
The guy played well above my expectations for him. And I really like what Manusky's done by demoting him to nickel corner in passing situations. I thought he had lost some tackling ability last year, and with a broken scapula I thought it was going to decline even further, but he was taking players down, even behind the line.
Unfortunately while Nate wasn't flourishing he made two costly bonehead plays. Like everyone else, when Roddy White was trailing from behind, I was hoping he was going to fall down. The other bad play was after the whistle. Parys HARALSON was flagged for the call, but Nate was the player to pushed him from behind into the ATL falcons FB. The fullback sold the flop to the refs and it ended up costing the 49ers three points.
