Why not Carr?

Why, why, why do the 49ers refuse to put in or even hint of putting in Carr. Last week the game was lost late and we keep in Smith. This week 2 terrible passes for interception and terrible reads of defense. At this point it is obvious that Smith looks for 1 receiver and if covered goes to Gore. Any defense in the league can find a way to stop him or get him to turn over the ball. Is there another team with so much promise that has started 0 and 4 that has not been willing to look at the backup QB? I am not saying Carr will save us, but mature head coaches know when to change things up, even for 1 quarter.
