49ers 3 - Broncos 0: LIVE from London Thread #2

We're early in the second quarter with the 49ers nursing a 3-0 lead. Troy Smith has shown a solid arm and excellent timing on some short slants. The 49ers need to get some points on the board soon because this Broncos squad is capable of an offensive explosion any time.
On a side note, Wembley Stadium is amazing. It's apparently the most expensive stadium in the world, costing £1.5 billion in 2007. At today's exchange rate that's over $2 billion.
At the half I'll upload some pictures to this thread.
GO NINERS!

Going to be honest
There isn’t a QB in the NFL who would have a great performance week in and week out with this play calling and this team.

I'm not operating on "if's"
Given the current team and play calling, there isn’t a single QB who would be great every single week. Obviously some could perform better, but this isn’t a top 10 offense with a great QB.

+1
that Troy Smith generally doesn’t look as lost as David Carr did last week. In fact, he seems to run the offense with more confidence than Alex has. Not saying he’s better than Alex, just saying that Troy’s play is highlighting an Alex weakness.

Not in Niners games
Because we generally don’t have the kind of rushers to cause blatant holds. In other games, holding has been called frequently. In week 5 I heard that more holding calls were made than any other year in NFL history before that.

that wasn’t very entertaining for the London fans.

they only give us the perception that we can win it again...
and then hit us on the balls!
At least Singletary figured out why the team is 1-6
And as usual Singletary pointed out that it has nothing to do with him.
Damn that Offensive leadership fellow – whoever he is.

You need leadership from your QB when your defense isn't a top 5 D.

What's really said is his loyalty to Manusky
The defense is not fine, it would be if the 49ers had an offense that kept them off the field, but when the 49ers defense is on the field there’s no pass rush and there’s no coverage. The only thing the defense is good at is stopping the run and allowing teams to win in the closing minutes of games.
also good at giving up feild position EVERY time.

their holding the opposing team to 0
in the first half, and its a passing offense, today its all on the offense. The D also needs to be given a breather
If the NFL wants to spread popularity
Why not schedule a Colts-Pats game or something?
Dolphins-Giants?
Patriots Bucs?
Definitely hurts relations

This is where Troy Smith stands up in the locker room
Gives some heroic speech about winning and greatness. Then the team rallies behind him and fumbles on the opening drive.

singletary looks like a winning biatch on the sidelines, its hummiliating to see him lose it while his players are out there trying, fire this idiot plz
First of all
Your comment is atrocious because of the wording and spelling errors. Secondly since when is wanting the referees to do their jobs not standing up for his players? He wanted a measurement which should have been done and the penalty on Lawson was a joke.

He is the one throwing the ball to the other team. He made the worst mistake by sticking with Alex (HC killer smith). At this point, I don’t care who leaves just as long as we draft a QB.
>< just win the d**n game or else! Or else what? Exactly!
He made a mistake in keeping Raye and Manusky
Also, Baalke made the mistake of not drafting a pass rusher or a corner back.

no the NFL now gives us 3 points at the start of all games
Since we need the help
I like how well our defense is playing...
too bad they won’t be able to keep it up as they tire out from being on the field all day long. We’ll probably lead all day long and lose with a last-second field goal or something.
