This is why Sanchez is rated higher than our QB
Before the season us Madden users were up in arms that Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets was rated higher than our QB. We made all the arguments that Sanchez played terrible with all the interceptions and that he was on a good team with a stellar running game. We said our QB had a better season with less playing time and that in his second year in the offense he will be even better.
Well here's the numbers: Sanchez has 8 TD and 0 INT. Our QB has 2TD with 7 INT.
I guess the Madden guys actually got something right.
I'm sorry I made another post about our QB but I think most will agree he is our main concern with this 2010 Niner team.
Thoughts?

Based off of last years numbers Madden got it wrong.
Sing is no dumber or smarter a HC if Clements doesn’t fumble and/or Smith makes one less mistake yesterday. If this team had a better, not great just better, QB then they would be 3-1 and the perception of SIng and his staff would be different even though they are the same coaches doing the same thing. -SpurredOn...
It sucks using the Smith with the 49ers
Since the update I can’t complete a pass anymore.

I know how you feel
Smith misses crucial passes for me all the time… each time I find someone WIDE OPEN deep or in the middle, somehow I always overthrow it or underthrow it.
The only thing that keeps me from using the Niners is Patrick Willis. He is a ONE MAN defense. He will man-man RBs, stop runs, tackle anything/everything. Also love using Mays cause of his speed.

Oh, I thought you were going to talk about Brian Schottenheimer
Look, I know that the Jets’ offensive line is superior to the 49ers’, and the skill position talent they have over there is at least equal. But it pays to have a guy like Brian Schottenheimer working the controls. He’s had tremendous success just about everywhere he’s gone, and he’s a young, hungry and innovative coach with a gift for X’s and O’s and for teaching the game, especially the quarterback position. If the Niners fail out this year, he’d be the guy at the top of my list of head coaching candidates.
Start the young ones early, I always say.

Yeah...
He’s an interesting guy to consider if Sing gets fired. I’m tired of all the ‘big name’ talk regarding HC’s. We don’t need a savior, we simply need an innovative and intelligent offensive minded HC who is respected enough to be able to recruit high-quality assistant coaches, especially on the defensive side. I wonder if Marty would be willing to work under his son as part of his staff?
Anyone else have potential HC candidates they like from the pool of assistant coaches currently employed around the NFL?

Madden idea
put Ginn as your 2nd WR, and if he ever has a one on one matchup, chuck it to him deep. I’ve had him open a lot, and he scores, it’s amazing. Then again alex overthrows it at times which kills me…but try it, beats a lot of people online. Then Morgan in the slot as the 3rd works a lot as well
Hit like Berry, Score like Jerry.
Westbrook
- is not a bad idea either; he can run routes, catch and all that stuff.

I put Ginn in the slot
His speed is undeniable but some corners have good speed too and Ginn isn’t exactly gonna make a great catch in traffic. I use him to run drag routes and post patterns against safeties who usually are slower than CB’s. Westbrook was a great pickup for madden. H’es my 4th WR and I use a lot of 2RB sets with him and Gore in the backfield. Sometimes I split Gore out wide and have Crabtree, Gore Davis, Westbrook on the field in shotgun. That’s hard to stop. Unless of course I try to throw deep because the QB sucks balls now he can’t hit anyone past 15 yards.
ginn has dropped more passes for me in madden than i can count lol ..i traded him off the team in the middle of my franchise season and gave up a 3rd round pick (i think) and got Meachum (from the saints) in return ..worked out very nicely for me!
good call
I would trade him in a minute for meachum but I mostly play online so I’m stuck with him
