Around SBN: Ray Allen Fighting Age, Injury And His New Role

Very interesting that Michael Vick was a childhood 49ers fan and his favorite player was Joe Montana.

I wonder if that increases the probability of him becoming a Niner via free agency next year.

Strauss : Who was your childhood star? Why?
Vick : Joe Montana – He was the man.

Strauss : What was your favorite NFL team growing up?
Vick : San Francisco 49ers.

Going to be interesting where he ends up.

He might have an opportunity to remain with Philly, since Kolb is not playing up to par at all, and the players like Vick’s ability to make plays and run if have to. We’ll see. I bet he is re-signed by the Eagles or possibly even franchise tagged.

Yes

Vick to Niners! That would be great. He will make our offensive line look good!

I had a lot of bad feelings toward Vick

but I have not read one thing that says he has not deserve to play in the NFL at this point. I do believe he will have to pay off his debt on his soul in the long run but I feel he is up for it. If the Niners have a chance they better take it.

Yeah, he has been given a second chance..

Because he served his time, and if you watch interviews, he’s humble, and as he said in the interview, he is "A changed man because of [the incident]. Strongly believe he should be playing in this league, and starting. He believes to have a stronger connection with G-d, and he still believes he is paying his debt.
