Isn't it absolutely fitting that the one week I forget to post the Prilosec NFL Victory Of The Week Poll on Tuesday is the week the 49ers are actually in the poll? The 49ers whipped up on Seattle and now get to compete with wins by the Patriots, Dolphins, Lions, Jaguars and Chargers. Much like the push to get Alex Smith the FedEx Air Player of the Week isn't exactly a major victory, this is another chance for random acclaim. I'm sure there are plenty of reasons to vote for the other folks on this list, but I'm still giving my vote to the 49ers. Naturally they're sitting in dead last among the various games, but whatever at this point.

At the same time, I can say with some semblance of certainty that if the 49ers can spring an upset tomorrow against the Chargers, they'll definitely be back in this poll next week.
