The 49ers put together a really strong effort this morning as they used strong mental vibes to help the Chiefs defeat the Rams 27-13. The Rams offense fell apart for just enough time to take a fairly commanding lead and they iced it with an 80 yard Jamaal Charles run. The Rams fall to 6-8 and remain a game ahead of the 49ers in the NFC West "playoff race." Due to the Seahawks and Rams squaring off in the season finale in two weeks, the 49ers needed at least one of the two teams to lose to draw out their playoff chances at least one more week. The 49ers head to St. Louis next week in what will be a do-or-die game for both teams.
The Seahawks have just taken a 7-0 lead over the Falcons on a Marshawn Lynch touchdown run. It was the first drive of the game, so Atlanta will get their chance to even things up on their own first drive. The 49ers don't need the Seahawks but it would certainly bunch the race up nice and tight. Let's all think happy thoughts for the Falcons.
In other afternoon action, we get Tim Tebow making his starting debut against the Oakland Raiders. I was going to watch the game but naturally it's blacked out. I'll stick with the red zone channel for this afternoon.
