As the title says, 49ers head coach Mike Singletary was recently told he was fired. EDIT: Matt Maiocco gets Jed York's confirmation on the move. 2ND EDIT: NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reporting that Singletary was fired after given the option to resign. Defensive Line coach Jim Tomsula will coach 49ers in the season finale.
