Dolphins release Porter.... also, hello!

[*EDIT* Woops - looks like bryceclan beat me to it. This can just be hello then.]
If this were a radio show, this is where I'd say, "long time listener, first time caller - love the show." But it's not, so anyway, this is my first post so it can serve as a "hello," as well as heads up to what I'm sure you'd all figure out very shortly anyway... ESPN is reporting that the Dolphins have released Joey Porter today. Obviously, it was just a matter of time, but it'll be interesting to see where he goes, since two of the teams he's specifically mentioned as being interested in are in the NFC West, and more importantly, one is the 49ers.
I don't think he's any TKO when it comes to bringing veteran leadership to the LB corps... specifically the OLBs, but it's tough to dispute his contribution when it comes to getting after the QB.

The "hello" section: As my profile says, I'm a lifetime Seattle native, but strangely enough, a lifetime Niner fan. My first 49ers game was this year at Qwest Field, and it goes without saying, it was a bit of a heart breaker the way they served the W to the Hawks on a silver platter. I hope I never see a reverse on a return again. I've been following along here for a while, and love the content. Oh, and I went to school with Jason Hill and watched him tear up the Pac-10 as a Cougar. Can't wait to see his role increase for the Niners. So - Hi everyone!
