That was a really good read
nice find.
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will probably get picked in the first round.
Like I am going to take the advice of a scout that
has zero relation to the 49ers and has an obvious bias toward players he specifically likes.
That’s the opinion of Daniel Jeremiah, who worked as a scout with the Ravens and Browns
Why would be more interested in a potential journeyman (my opinion) over a guy like Brandon Graham or someone with real upside if we were drafting for that position in the 1st? Particularly considering how high our picks are? 13th and 16th? Sorry, much much much too high for Odrick.
I don’t think that’s too much of a reach?"
For Odrick? Who is this guy? No wonder he’s not a scout anymore.
I am finding it more and more difficult to make it through an entire Maiocco article these days.

What am I projecting exactly?
It’s my opinion.. when am I not allowed to have one of those? It happens to differ than a guy who obviously has no connection to the Niners organization.

That entire article was a projection
if you are going to call my comment that. Everything is a projection by those standards

As someone who followed the 49ers closely the last draft I have to say he absolutely nailed them. The 49ers have been like flies to {site decorum} on defensive linemen and you are fooling yourself if you don’t think they are targeting one with one of those 1st picks.
Also Derrick Morgan fits the 49ers profile to a T, has all the physical measurables, senior, played at a big time college and produced a sack statistic they would be very interested in. He also echoed what Maccio has been reporting about Mays for months, the 49ers are not that interested.
BTW, he also nailed McClain as not a striker who could deliver a jarring hit . . . more of guy who shuffles around traffic.

I didn’t realize Maiocco is sitting in the war rooms with the scouts, FO, and coaching staff. Speculation.

Nope, Maiocco sits right outside the war room is able to hear a lot of what is going on along. He tweets everything he hears on draft day.
Seriously Drew K, you ripping the 49ers beat writer and an NFL scout with league connections for “zero relation to the 49ers and has an obvious bias toward players he specifically likes” is about as ridiculous as it gets. Last I checked you have zero connections to the 49ers and wear CJ Spiller underwear.

And that’s about as classy as it get’s coming from you.
Maiocco is GOD… please forgive me for I have sinned.

Nice.

You're clueing in one statement
I think the guy made lots of good points. He supports your opinion of McClain BTW.

I’d like to hear your reasoning behind this…Why is he a potential journeyman? Why doesn’t he have “real upside”?
How is 13th and 16th too high for the 3-4 end position? if a 3-4 team was in the top 5 and Gerald McCoy or Suh was the best player on the board, you believe it would be too high to take him?
Didn’t you say before Brandon Graham being selected with either of those picks was too high? Too high even to reach on.

I know you are in LOVE with Penn State but that’s no reason to think that Odrick is going to amount to anything other than an average player. He looks like molasses when I have watched him play.

You are doing it again
You calling out anyone else’s love for a college or player as way to discredit a prospect is the last argument you should be making.
Oddly
I didn’t even give you my opinion on Jared Odrick, but you correctly assumed that I think Jared Odrick will be an above average player in the NFL.
Do you have an answer to either of these questions by the way?

It would help if you were a bit more consistent with what you say, instead of flip flopping your opinion every other day.
