Don’t worry I will get into the 49ers at the end, but I have finally found a sports game where the commentators are worse then Madden use to be.  Does everyone remember playing the older Madden games where he would say stuff like “He can’t catch the pass if you knock it down,” and “The team with the best offense will win this game?”  Well the commentating in Tiger Woods PGA Tour is horrible!

I forget what their names are, but it is a guy and a girl.  And they say stuff like “Well it looks like he is going to use his driver.”  And you are just sitting there like “No *beep* I am going to use my driver, it is a par 5 and I am in the tee box.” Then you will hit the ball like 350yds, there will be minimal distance to the green, but because you aren’t in the center of the fair way they will say “Well he has to be disappointed with this shot.”  And you are thinking to yourself, “No I am not disappointed it was a great shot.”

Then to make matters worse there is no music during game play.  Now I know that in real golf there is a lot of thinking involved, but this is a video game.  If I want to rock out to the Foo Fighters I should be able to.  I don’t want to listen to the birds chirping while the commentators tell me “This looks like the 5-iron.”  Thank you Captain obvious I know what club I just picked!!!

Well with that off my chest…  Scout.com thinks the 49ers are in a position to sign Darren Sproles. http://profootball.scout.com/2/947193.html  I think it would be a good idea, it would give us the COP back and the return man that we need without having to risk either 1. Drafting Spiller and him being a bust, or 2. Spiller not being around when we draft.  Who would you rather have?
