100 in 100: Terrence Cody (48 of 100)
Mount Cody is one of the more accentuated landmarks in the state of Alabama. Definition Mt. Cody: Terrence Cody, 354 LB Defensive Lineman, University of Alabama. Also see: beast.
Terrence Cody weighed in at 370 LBS at the Senior Bowl and since has lost 16 LBS. 350 is about what the NFL would like to see Cody stay at. But the question is, how many Big Macs can Terrence Cody buy once he gets that first NFL paycheck? He is going to have to constantly watch his weight once he hits the next level. Cody played somewhat decent at the Senior Bowl even at the higher weight. But his chances of success will be greater if he can keep the weight where the NFL would like to see it.
While at Alabama, Cody was the anchor of that defense. Rolando McClain and Cody were a force and not many teams could do much of anything on them. Comparison's have been made to the famous Refigerator Perry because of how Cody was plugged in to the offense from time to time. It will be interesting to see if the team that drafts him uses him in a similar manner.
Cody started his career playing JUCO ball and transferred to Alabama for the 2008 Season. His stats are not through the roof but his presence was always a factor. He jams the middle of the line and clogs gaps with the best of 'em. He is a two-time ALL-SEC player at his position and made some significant play while with the Crimson Tide.
Below, we'll look at some video of Mt. Cody, provide stats, honors, and a projection at the bottom of the article.
There wasn't a large variety of highlights to chose from, but this video here highlights one of Cody's most significant games this past season. Like mentioned above though, Cody's biggest contribution was clogging up the middle of the field and forcing teams to run their offenses toward the outside of the field.
AWARDS AND HONORS:

- 2009 Consensus All-American

CAREER STATS:
| Defense Stats | |||||||||||||||||||
| YEAR | TEAM | TACK | SOLO | AST | PD | SACK | FF | REC | INT | YDS | TD | ||||||||
| 2008 | ALA | 23 | 7 | 16 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | ||||||||
| 2009 | ALA | 28 | 12 | 16 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | ||||||||
SUMMARY AND PROJECTION:
To me, if Cody can manage his weight, he would be a very big contributor for whoever selects him. There is no question that he has talent and tremendous strength. He will not be easy to block at the next level. There is no chance that he falls outside of the top 50 picks and there is good chance that he could be selected in the 1st Round.
Possibilities -- Picks 11-50.

That would be cool
Especially if we don’t get Aubrayo back after all. It’s hard to believe that anything could get through Mt. Cody!
I’d love to see teams try to run it in that case, with P Willis roaming sideline to sideline and Mt. Cody in the middle

Let’s hope he keep his shirt on when he runs his 40 meter dash.

Good news is that he weighed in 16 lbs lighter than in this picture
Yes Drew K, Tim Tebow will probably get picked in the first round.
wow
You really need to issue some kind of warning before posting this kind of picture. I live near Union Square in San Francisco and a couple years ago I was walking towards Union Square one day. I turn the corner and on the side of half the Macy’s building is a huge ad featuring David Beckham in underwear. I really don’t need this kind of thing sneaking up on me. Give me a warning!
