[LIVE] NN COMMUNITY MOCK DRAFT THREAD Round 2, Thread 2

Fooch's Note: This is the fourth thread for our live community mock draft.  To view thread 1, head here.  To view thread 2, head here.  To view thread 3, head here.

Here we are folks... Are you ready to draft? Let's get to it.

Make sure to continue to check the board as Fooch will be updating it.

Here are the rules once again:

  • The first thing that will happen is I will announce the team that is on the clock (ex: THE ST. LOUIS RAMS ARE ON THE CLOCK.
  • Once you see that, you will have 4 min's to make your selection (not 5 this time). After the initial announcement that your team is on the clock, you will need to state "HERE" to let everyone know you are here for you selection. If you make it to the three minute mark without stating that, other participants will be able to start giving their opinions of who to select. The consensus will be taken in to consideration and I will then make the selection for you once the clock hits zero. If you are a participant and it is not your turn, please wait for the 3 minute mark to begin with your suggestions.
  • The format will be the same as last time in that the only thing that will be allowed in the subject lines is your team selection. Everything else please comment on in the text box.
  • This is how your team selection should appear: (ex.) "WITH THE 33RD SELECTION IN THE 2010 DRAFT, THE ST. LOUIS RAMS SELECT EVERSON GRIFFIN (DE) USC.
  • Fooch will be updating the board as he did last time. Please pay attention to the board so we don't double up on picks.

WITH THE 53RD OVERALL PICK THE PATRIOTS SELECT KOA MISI OLB, UTAH UTES

I screwed up with Woten should have taken Griffen USC

Equation= 1,2,2,3,3 is a lot better than 1,1,2,3 in a deep draft, especially when your 1 nets you E berry.

Alex Smith is not a bust, he is a product of poor management and coaching.

Heres a non-draft related question how is New Orleans South but Dallas East

by manraj7 on Mar 13, 2010 2:06 PM PST reply actions

The NFL didn’t want to break up the DAL-WAS, DAL-NYG, and DAL-PHI rivalries.

by TexansDC on Mar 13, 2010 2:07 PM PST up reply actions

Dallas had too many traditional rivals in the East to move them out of division. Reason why the Rams are still in the West, because they have always been paired with the 49ers.

by bignerd on Mar 13, 2010 2:08 PM PST up reply actions

If the NFL cared about alignment…

Carolina would be in the East. St. Louis joins the South, and Dallas is in the West (there’s not enough West Coast teams).

Indianpolis would be in the East with Miami switching to the South.

Personally I like Odrick the best but not sure the Colts are the right team, not sure Odrick isn’t an overrated prospect. I’d take McCourty 2nd but the Colts do well drafting CBs later so I passed. Price would be 3rd and I don’t like Kindle at all, especially in 4-3.

WITH THE 59TH PICK IN THE 2010 DRAFT, THE DALLAS COWBOYS SELECT ROGER SAFFOLD OT INDIANA

I know this is just like DraftTek’s picks, but I feel like they need to revamp their offensive line and get back to the dominate days of the 90s. All of their OL is over 30 and have HOLES. They have most everything in place, and I think R Williams steps up this year so no Damian Williams. Already have too much money tied up in WR this year once Austin gets his extension.

I thought possible Jason Fox, if Saffold was gone, but he is best tackle left on board. I feel with the two picks on OL for Cowboys, it brings their OL into one of the better younger lines in the league. Sorry typed this up in advance. LOL

I’m just sure Saffold is a LOT. He looked good in the senior bowl and did decent at the combine, but he was only so-so at Indiana

love Spievey, got a soft spot for CBs that understand run support is part of their job.

I would’ve gone Kareem Jackson here, but that is my preference. Spievey is a good pick.

    FACT? OR FICTION?

Is this the first time since the draft started that the NINER’S had the 49th pick in the draft, not counting getting the 49th in a trade.

And sorry for the CAPS all the time but I have really bad eyes even with glasses.

Hey you 49er fans Carr is just to drive us this season if Smith get’s us in trouble, next year the Carr breaks down, Smith drives out of town and NATE (SAVE-US-) DAVIS will take over and he will drive us to many SB WINS and we will return to glory. NATE could be ready this year, and my guess is he will WIN the job on OPENING DAY with a victory of 41-10 over who ever, who cares.

BEETLE IN THE BOX IS OUT, and sorry again about the caps guys.
