Shawn Andrews
Shawn Andrews was released by the eagles today. Any thoughts on signing him. We need O-Line help and the guy is a solid guard. He is coming off of an injury so that will raise some red flags but all in all I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to sign the guy to at least a 1 year contract. The guy could help our current guards with his veteran advice and provide some solid play from the guard position.
What are everyone elses thoughts?

You could'nt pay me to put
him on my team and honestly he should be looking at retiring .
reply fail...
My guess is because Andrews is a kook and he has been injured a LOT the last two seasons. Not to mention there is some doubt as to how committed he is to football or if he is committed to his music.
look on youtube and look him up for his music and you will see….
Its cool question my opinion i'm
just on here giving my comments like everbody else ,but my reason 4 saying that its just i don’t think he really makes us any better not 2 mention he has some personal issues that he has 2 deal with first if i’m correct i think he has admitted 2 dealing with depression now if he still has that fire yea maybe but after a while he became somebody who was a better pass protector than in the running game and that might be andy reid fault but either way singletery wants you to be tough and be able to open holes in the running game and just not that good 2 me and i could be way wrong but thats just how i feel.
I just had to say this
Emmit Smith, is that you?

1 year deal if he checks out medically
structured so he can be cut in Camp if he performs poorly. He’s what, 27 and went to 3 pro bowls? Worth a flier for competition in camp at least. Wouldn’t be the first time we signed another team’s cut player.

I Like
a one year deal. it’s solid. make sure he checks out medically and if he isnt performing then cut him. who knows. Maybe singletary can put some fire in him and make him return to all pro mauler status. if not we cut him and dont lose anything

1 year deal with no guranteed money, unless he is medically out for the season. If he doesn't come to play, cut him, with no losses.
Equation= 1,2,2,3,3 is a lot better than 1,1,2,3 in a deep draft, especially when your 1 nets you E berry.
Alex Smith is not a bust, he is a product of poor management and coaching.
1-year as a back up unless he beats out Baas and can stay healthy throughout preseason

I guess i can second that 1 year deal so that makes about 4
of us that agrees with a 1yr if they can get him back 2 form that would be big.
That was pretty close to consensus for a blog.
I’m amazed… and I’ll make it 6!
