So, we've got 120+ hours to go till the draft. I've seen various mock drafts having the Niners taking everyone from C.J. Spiller and Clausen, to Haden and Thomas, to Brandon Graham and Taylor Mays in the 1st round. What worries me is that the front office is thinking of taking Spiller and/or Clausen and hoping that Vladimir Ducasse is still around in the 2nd round. Is anyone else concerned that they haven't added any potential starters (or at least some depth) to their O-line? Furthermore, they haven't done anything of substance to bolster their secondary. I wouldn't have a problem if they used both 1st round picks on defensive backs as long as they made some solid moves for the O-line, but that doesn't seem to be happening.
What do peeps think about acquiring more picks? I don't think they should trade down (or up), but getting more is always better. Any rumors about certain teams that would be willing to trade picks? I wouldn't mind if the Niners swapped next year's 1st rounder for a team's 2010 1st or 2nd rounder. I know what happened last time they did that; the Patriots got the 6th pick that otherwise would have been the Niners'.
If they make no more moves/trades before the draft, this is how I would want their draft to play out (taking in to account that who knows how crazy the first 10 picks could be, 6 offensive tackles could be gone by #13), their are some specific players and some just best available that fulfills a need.
#13-Joe Haden (CB)
#17- The best OT available
#49- Vladimir Ducasse (OL)
#79- The best DE/Pass rusher available.
#113-Myron Rolle (SS)
#182-Joique Bell (RB)
#224-Major Wright (FS)
