1A) Mike Iupati, OG
He's a big reach here, but I like him better then Davis or Brown and I think he is the best upgrade for us, whether he fills in at RT or if he slides into David Baas's role at LG.
1B) Kyle Wilson, CB
Joe Haden is already off the board and thank god for that, we don't have to worry about the niners flubbing up and picking Haden over Wilson. Fits into the Nickel slot, and gives Spencer and Clements a run for a starting corner position.
2) Morgan Burnett, SS
Had he decided to stay in school for his senior year and stayed healthy I'm almost sure this kid would be a first rounder. Upgrades our SS position and lets Goldson work on his skills a bit more.
3) Sean Lee, ILB
Underrated ILB which works perfectly for us because he can be mentored by the aging Spikes and the best ILB in the NFL Willis. Great potential upside.
4) Mike Petrus, OG
Assuming Iupati can slide into RT position with no hickups. If we can pick up Petrus here in the 4th I'd be very excited. This kid is a beast, tying the "record" for most reps on the bench press, I mean come on he will just throw D-Lines around. He's got a lot to learn, but yet again, major upside.
5) Ted Ginn Jr!!! WR
I remember when this kid was a rookie and playing fantasy football and watching him rack up points for ST and some long bombs. I hope we throw this kid in at number 3 receiver at the least and let him take off. We can have yet another threat on the receiving corp. Finally!
6A) LeGarrette Blount, RB
He may not be the fastest, or the brightest, but this kid can find holes and take the ball the distance. Not a straight pounder like Coffee. I think he's the kind of slight change up to give us an edge, but he's definitely a risky pick.
6B) Zac Robinson, QB
I say we draft this diamond in the rough and throw him on the practice squad, let him develop and then next year give him a spot on the team. I see this kid doing some great things, and I hope it's with us.
7) Joshua Moore, CB
This kid is an easy choice in the 7th. Definitely has enough talent to go higher in the draft but right now he's projected back here. Either way, if we can pick him up here, it's a definite steal.
I realize that in this draft I stepped around the OT situation, which I agree is a dire need. But I truly think Iupati can slide into RT with the proper training and Petrus can over take Baas for a starting job. I think these moves will upgrade our line significantly and the help we picked up in the secondary will put us over the top.
I really wanted to throw in Jordan Shipley because I think that kid is going to be an amazing slot receiver, mark my word, but with the new addition of Ted Ginn Jr, I just don't see us drafting a receiver, and he also fills our return specialist need as well.
Ok criticism time, let me know what you think. And feel free to let me know the certain picks you'd like to change or the ones you really like.
