I don't know if you young 49er fans , know anything about John Taylor, John Taylor was the NO#2 WR PR/KR specialist and one of the best underrated 49er's of all time, And at that time Jerry Rice was the 49er's no#1 WR . And some people would argue about John Taylor being just as good as Jerry Rice, John didn't have the big numbers that Jerry had. However he contribute A great deal to the 49ers organization, John Taylor knew what it meant to be A professional, you can tell, just by the way that John carried himself, on the field and off , John was A quite guy who never complaint, John knew just one thing, that he was their to play football, and not argue with the coaches or the Ref , Can Ted Ginn Jr be the next John Taylor , and will the 49ers use Ted like the 49er's use John.if you have any memorable stories about John Taylor i would like to hear them please. the one i remember was on Monday night playing against the St Louis Rams and John Taylor had to big touchdowns , i remember one coming from a pass from Joe Montana on about our 20 yard line , and John ran it back 80 yards for A touchdown, yeah it kinda of reminded me of that pass from Matt Ryan to Rodney White had against us last year for A touchdown.
Do the 49ers still need A NO#1 WR?
With the addition of Ted Ginn JR. I see the 49ers with two NO#2 WR with Michael Crabtree and Ted Ginn Jr. and I realize that maybe Michael Crabtree can be that guy, I don't know if Michael has enough speed to be A NO#1 WR in the NFL ,only time will tell, now I know how 49er fans feel about players going from one position to another, however with Vernon Davis size and speed, and Vernon is already Alex Smith go to guy , you would think that maybe he could fill that role as the 49ers no#1 WR, Even though Vernon does have to work on running better routes and learn how to come back to the ball, But isn't that the same for being a All Pro T.
