Now that the draft wildfire has subsided, I thought we should take a look at the draft class. Who do you think will be picked to be rookie of the year? In order to prevent a massive poll and keep things fair, I'm just going to do the first round picks at skill positions (no offensive lineman has ever won rookie of the year, sorry Iupati and Davis) and leave an other option.
Sam Bradford QB St. Louis: The top quarterback selected. He could conceivably have a great year.
CJ Spiller RB Buffalo: A human highlight reel in college. The majority of offensive rookies of the year have been backs, and he's the best back in this class.
Ryan Matthews RB San Diego: You know he's going to get a lot of opportunities in that offense, and he'll have some great blocking.
Jermaine Gresham TE Cincinatti: He has a good QB under center and an offense that really has only one other weapon in the passing game. He will get a lot of opportunites.
Demarius Thomas WR Denver: His speed was compared to Randy Moss before the draft, and he's huge. he'll get a lot of the passes that used to go to brandon marshall.
Dez Bryant WR Dallas: Was thought of as the top WR in the draft, and will have a good quarterback.
Tim Tebow QB? Denver: I can't see him succeeding as a starter right now, but he is a skill position player picked in the first round so I can't disclude him. Maybe his elite intangibles guide Denver to the postseason from the sideline.
Jahvid Best RB Detroit: Best was considered better than spiller before his concussions. If he can stay healthy he could be great.
