NFL loses anti-trust suit
I'm sure Fooch could tell you more than I can about the implications of this ruling, but as far as I can tell this ruling opens the door for some competition as far as NFL apparel is concerned (among other things). Good news, as competition will likely drive down the prices.

It's a bit more complicated than that
we’ve got a post scheduled tomorrow to talk about this.
There are basically two parts to this case.
The first is whether or not the NFL violated the Sherman anti-trust law. That’s what American Needle is claiming.
The NFL is trying to sidestep that issue by claiming that they shouldn’t even be sued for anti-trust since they’re a single entity (think McDonald’s franchise), not individual organziations.
What the Supreme Court said today was that the NFL isn’t a single-entity organization, and kicked the anti-trust part of it back to the lower courts. (Though I don’t know how the NFL can win there).
Logic merely enables one to be wrong with authority
yes, but isn't the 'non-single entity' judgment pretty significant?
Glad to hear that there’s another post about this coming out—I just wanted people to get the link so that when there was an opportunity to discuss it, they’d have a bit of the background.
I'm just not sure how much worse what Vick did than what "Ben" did. Glad he's not a Niner.
So it was ruled that the NFL is not a single entity?
That’s a HUGE step in the right direction.
What we've got here is a failure to communicate.
