Alex Boone featured "On The Fringe"
The NFL Network is airing a show called "On The Fringe", it will follow 5 players from around the league who are on the bubble to make an NFL roster. Among the five is our very own Alex Boone. I am not sure how this will play out or how in depth the coverage of Alex Boone will be, but it is definitely something worth tuning in to watch.
It should provide an interesting perspective into the locker room and atmosphere at 49ers HQ. At the very least it will definitely reiterate the secret agenda that many of us have for our second year Tackle.
The other 4 players:
LeGarrette Blount, Tennesee
Ricky Foley, Seattle
Gary Banks, San Diego
Cody Grimm, Tampa Bay
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Boone vs. Sims
It seems like Boone is really competing with Barry Sims for a roster spot.
You could argue he’s also vying for a spot with Adam Snyder, but given Snyder’s versatility at G and maybe even C, he would likely make the roster before Boone regardless. Boone might be able to play LT, though, and has been practicing there. So, if the coaches think he’s a true backup at LT, and they’re going to keep Baas and Snyder (who I think they will surely keep), it really comes down to Boone (basically a rookie) versus Sims (established veteran with injury history). It is on!
great feature
good to see someone we follow get a meaningful ongoing media story

Now that Boone's getting this exposure,
anybody who thought that we could stash him on the PS for another season is sadly mistaken…
After all was said and done, a lot more got said than done.
this
not like NFL personnel guys find their prospects watching TV at night, but the more people talk about a guy, the more likely they are to check him out. Pre-season will be his audition for not only the 49ers, but possibly another team.
